Beginnings

Allure is an adventure in finery, adding a touch of feisty sophistication to the free-spirited woman’s wardrobe. The handcrafted silver jewellery line was birthed in 2015 by Yasanthi Soysa Kandasamy, Designer and Co-director of Sri Lanka’s coveted family owned Jewellery House, Lalitha Jewellers, an establishment with a rich history of fine jewellery making spanning over 65 years.

An eager traveller, Yasanthi describes herself as a designer who is open to influences and is inspired by almost anything. A creative soul, influenced by her father, experimenting with and designing jewellery for over 10 years, Yasanthi’s contemporary ethnic touch is a trademark of Allure today. She attributes the birth of this silver jewellery line to the freedom and flexibility that is afforded to the designer when working with silver, as opposed to the more expensive gold.

The Craft

Allure fine sterling silver jewellery is lovingly handcrafted- which means every piece you own from the brand is unique and while there may be designs that are produced more than once by us, you will find that no two pieces even of the same design, are ever alike. Often embellished with semi-precious stones and cultured pearls, the pieces are made by trained, skilled artisans with workmanship styles that are uniquely ‘allure’, leaving you wearing a piece of their story- silver, with alluring character.

Design

We are proud of our ethnic background and how we apply it to our craft. Our designs flaunt an unmistakable traditional influence, preserved by the people behind the brand.
Whilst drawing inspiration from our traditional roots, we are also mindful of harvesting the best of the modern jewellery making methods and designs, making Allure a balanced blend of the traditional and contemporary.
